On graduating with a degree in Italian and German, Rebecca was a Director of a Headhunting Company until she took early retirement (aged 25) to pursue a career in singing. She is currently studying with Patricia MacMahon.
Rebecca has performed as a soloist in many of the UK's most prestigious venues; The Symphony Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, The Queen Elizabeth Hall and The Bridgewater Hall. Highlights include Handel's Messiah with The Orchestra of the Age of the Enlightenment, recitals with Malcolm Martineau and operatic roles including: Vespetta (Pimpinone by Telemann) with Donald Maxwell at The Buxton Festival, and also at Buxton Water Nymph (Armide by Gluck) and Mrs Ford-cover (Nicolai's Merry Wives of Windsor). Lucy Lockit (The Beggar's Opera) by Gay/Britten with The Opera Project, numerous roles for The English Bach Festival at the Linbury Theatre, St. John's Smith Square and The Banqueting House, including leads in Acis and Galatea and Alceste and Belinda, 2nd Woman and 1st Witch (Dido and Aeneas), Mabel (Pirates of Penzance), Josephine (Pinafore), Angelina (Trial by Jury) for The London Operetta Company, Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Ist Niece (Peter Grimes), Annchen (Der Freischutz) Alexis (L’Ile de Tulipatan) by Offenbach, Marenka (Bartered Bride), Maria (West Side Story) and a recording of Coralie in Balfe's Maid of Artois. Rebecca sings for Yehudi Menuhin's Live Music Now scheme and Music in Hospitals.
